Walk the line

Have you ever overcome your fear of doing certain things?

Those small things, which are inconsequential in big scheme of things, yet, matter a hell lot personally.

Being a little self-contained (diplomatic way of stating my mild introvert nature), I've got plenty of those fears. There have been times when I've had to hold back my excitement, joy, anger, fear and feelings alike, for I could not dare to cross my self made thresholds.

And these aren't things of magnitude; they could be as trivial as feeling self-conscious of oneself in public, or being shy of talking to people of opposite sex.
But trust me, it requires enormous amount of courage to gather all strength to do it.
It's not the act which is the issue, it's the wrong analysis that one does in one's own mind after the act. We tend to draw wrong conclusions based on wrong pretexts and thus prejudice ourselves agaist things, atleast I do.

And I'm really glad that I made myself to overcome one such prejudice and gathered the courage to do one such thing finally.

And it wasn't bad at all.

As I wrote, it's just some trivial thing, but it surely made me feel good.
